Numerical relativity

My PhD thesis Representation of dynamical black hole spacetimes in numerical simulations was mainly concerned with critical collapse of gravitational waves in axial symmetry. It can be downloaded here: https://files.khirnov.net/thesis.pdf

The above file differs from the defended version in the following:

• Added a missing term in the φ momentum constraint for the time-asymmetric initial data (equation 2.5c). The term was only missing in the text, the solver code was correct. Thanks to Daniela Cors Agulló for finding this error.
• Front pages removed.
